So I spent most of the day: Playing Seisen, trolling the GPX+ shelter for novelty eggs and looking at Yuletide stories. AO3 is slow, though, so I didn't amass as big a list right away and will likely make another one tomorrow.

I actually had a bit of a sucky morning. Breaking one of your gifts, even just a little cute "it flashes lights at you! :D" toy as you pull it out of the stocking is DISTRESSING. SOB. Mom tried to fix it at least.

But, I got a WoW card and got to try out that not-so-new cross-realm Random Dungeon Group thing and I quite like how easy it is to get into an instance! It's kinda...weird for it to be so fast and I noticed that people felt they could be more testy when they don't have to worry about running into you at Dalaran, but the fact that the heroic lockout is now reduced to an hour? I RATHER LIKE THAT. It sucks to be locked out of an instance for an entire day because you downed one boss and then everyone decided to leave because they wiped once or twice on the second and god, this was meant to be 20 minutes why do you all fail? now i have to bring your sexual orientation into question because i'm still in denial as to why this green buff orc butt i stare at for hours a day is such a pleasant sight and OH DEITY OF YOUR CHOICE, SHUT THE FUCK UP OR I'LL DO HORRIBLE THINGS TO YOUR MOM. AND POSSIBLY THREATEN YOU WITH UNWANTED SEXUAL CONTACT I.E, RAPE, AS THAT MAKES ME FEEL WITTY FOR SOME REASON.

...So, I had some encounters as to what I didn't miss about the game.

I did miss randomly emoting at Cairne Bloodhoof though. I love doing quests that take me to him...Though I really just love being in Thunderbluff. It's the most beautiful of the Horde-cities in my opinion. Though RPing a tauren might make me a tad bit biased.

...I also got a book on medieval history (favorite time period! yay!), a notebook with Chinese art, a Beatles CD which I listened to while shooting Alliance in the face and...a DS game - Scribblenauts. I have no idea if it's good or not as I am DS-less for the time being, but it looks cute. and I got money to go out shopping with a parental unit. WHAT MATERIAL ITEMS SHOULD I CONSIDER?

AND THEN I GOT THE BEST GIFT EVER. BLANTANT, POSSIBLY CANON BUT DEFINITELY MANGA-SPOILERY VANSERVICE...Or, more like Legretta-service. ( AND MY THOUGHTS WHEN YOU GET BACK. )

I love how all my posts are essentially random thoughts strung together. I would call it stream of consciousness if I didn't actually try to takes out those random sentences OH HEY, I'M DRINKING CIDER, HARD CIDER AT THAT! that pop up right in the middle of other sentences.

One day, I'll write an intelligent, thoughtful and thought-provoking post...but today is not that day.

So today I bought a working DS~ I get to play Pokemon Diamond for the first time in a year! ...needless to say, I was a little lost starting up the game. "Where is everything...? What HMs do I have?"

Anyway, today I caught a Chingling, and since it was male and Psychic and because I saw Detective Conan in the bookstore today and Kid was in one of the volumes, eee~, I decided to name it Kaitou Kid. I knew nothing whatsoever of its moveset.

Its current moveset is Confusion, Astonish, Uproar... and Wrap.

Sounds very Kidlike to me~

Note to self: Before going about the task of gift-wrapping, make sure you have enough boxes and paper. I JUST managed to squeak by with donations from Dad but I still have my sister's which also needs a box. OH, and I forgot to put the Bahamas shot glass in with the shirts I'm sending my cousin! :D *slaps self*

Well, I guess I can send it separately and give my sister and other cousin their glasses when we exchange gifts.

Still, I'm kinda pissed at myself for not being better prepared.

So after excersizing all the possibilities of what happened and wondering if I'd have to go to the store to get an extra part or have something fixed...


All my friend had to do was hit a switch. See, apparently I accidentally hit the wireless on/off switch to "off" and didn't realize it. XD

For some reason the wireless internet connection doesn't work on my laptop today. My friend's coming over to check it out later, though, and he's a genius at this stuff, so...I think I can promise I'll be around tonight! :D

So I made a random artsy video! Yes, it was an excuse to play with the effect filters. XD

...wow. I mean, I'd heard this thing was bad, but I never imagined it could be THIS bad. Wookies talking for 20 minutes was just the tip of the iceberg, if you call all that ear-bleedingly bad roaring talking. I feel for Star Wars fans everywhere. And George Lucas, poor guy.

(I did like the Bea Arthur scene, though. I'd watch again if the special was all about her and her bar.)


sorry Queenie, I know this was posted OMG JUST AFTER YOURS!!! but I'd meant to do it earlier and got sidetracked and besides, Christmas is all about sharing, right? So let's share the pain! :D

I'm going to be leaving tomorrow and heading back home. On the plus, I have a house to go home to.

But, I feel very at home here too. Windy's family have been very accepting of me and I feel like I can call them my family too. They don't care that I'm some "strange internet lesbian out to corrupt our daughter." They've taken the time to get to know me and judge me as a person and not some scary idea. They said that I'm welcome here, and I really do feel that way.

My Mom's still a bit "eh" on this whole internet girlfriend thing though she is actively making efforts to accept it. My Dad...still talks around the fact that I even have a girlfriend, so coming here and feeling like I've been accepted is definitely nice. I think my parents just need to meet Windy themselves and maybe some time to get used to it.

I just consider myself lucky that Windy's parents are so open-minded, really. Not everyone gets to be so lucky. I'm still going to miss Windy when I go back home tomorrow of course, but the fact that I can visit again will make it easier I think. It'll be some time before then but it'll worth the wait.

But for now, I'm just gonna hug her like crazy.

Stop it, okay, society? Stop encouraging people to hate on the overweight, I don't CARE if you think whiny fat people are annoying and need to cut down on the food and get on the treadmill, THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT OKAY TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THEY'RE LESS THAN HUMAN FOR NOT HAVING PERFECT BODIES.

And while we're at it can we also stop assuming that just because a person is overweight they're a lazy slob who does nothing but eat?

DDD FOURTH WALL POST~ This was really awesome last time we had it, guys. I've only made a thread with DDD!Issei so far because of my funk, but I promise I'll reply to you promptly.

I'm glad my brother's Bar Mitzvah is over, because frick if it wasn't aggravating as anything. ...I did get complimented on my singing, though. Possibly as much as he got complimented, which is sad.

I saw a therapist on Thursday. Her office is incredibly creepy, but she herself seems... nice. I can't say whether anything has really improved or not. ...Mn, but having cousins over is a good change. Too bad that's temporary.

OH AND IT'S SNOWING, YAY~~~~ *opens curtains*

So I found some moar Seisen manga scanslations on Serenes Forest... :D They've got up to v2 ch12.

I. LOVE. Oosawa's art style. @_@ Like...seriously. Especially the way she draws hair, and I gotta confess manga!Sigurd is WAY hotter than his gamesprite, and Fury is beautiful. And Arden in the manga is a HUGE improvement over the game, he's more plain and sorta rugged and less LOL FRANKENSTEIN

So here's my day in a nutshell:

*Went to the mall and got a big bag of Lindt truffles, cause only they have raspberry and peanut butter. Omnomnom~

*Saw my nutritionist, and her new office digs.

*Holiday shopping! I went to discount/department stores because after gambling, souveniers and this month's big food shopping I didn't have a ton of cash. They DO have good quality stuff, I even doublechecked to make sure things were made well...and yet I still worry I'm a cheap bitch because even if the bad talk is exaggerated it's so ingrained into society that if you even think of buying presents there you're a horrible person and should be ashamed.

Speaking of holiday shopping...I fucking hate how people drive this time of year. Rushing and honking and just generally being obnoxious, ugh.

*Don't wear dress shoes if you're gonna do a lot of walking. D: I thought my strappy Mary Jane flats could cut it, but nope!

*So before the cruise I packed my pink DS lite with Pokemon Diamond, and when I got it out later the cartridge was missing! I tried airport lost and found, searched my room...and found it in my white DS lite. *falls over* I didn't even think of that! XD But I've got it and I'm happy, so yay.

*Does anyone else remember a book called Not Quite TV Guide? From 1983, it's a slimmed-down parody of TVG with lots of dirty innuendo and dumb jokes, it was awesome. I had a copy when I was in 8th grade but I lost it, and a few days ago I ordered another one used from Amazon. It's just as good as I remember it!

*Tomorrow's my last class! ...I should probably get started on that take-home final. And finish the last of my Journalism assignments too.

...and this weekend I need to get cracking on my yuletide fic. *falls over some more*
